BrandNewSightBot
About our website checker.
Brand New Sight checks publicly available business websites for speed, mobile usability and security, to find businesses we might be able to help.
It reads pages like a normal visitor, respects robots.txt, and never submits forms or logs in. To stop it visiting your site, add a robots.txt rule for "BrandNewSightBot", or email hello@brandnewsight.com and we'll add your domain to our do-not-contact list.
What it does
- Visits your home page and a few pages such as contact and about, with no more than one request a second.
- Looks at what a visitor would see on a phone, how fast the page loads, and whether the connection is secure.
- Identifies itself as
BrandNewSightBot/1.0. - Never follows links off your site, except to check whether your own images load.
